Two-Colored Flowers

Bat-Face Cuphea--unusual, but easy to grow.

Bleeding Heart Vine, Clerodendrum thomsoniae

Some Strange Bees

I don't know what kind of bees these were, but they seemed to be trying to settle in for the evening.

I have wandered into your garden blog. I am always interested in warm climate gardens, as I garden in the subtropics in Australia.
I have a simmilar native wasp that has settled in my garden. I do not know yours. The bleeding heart is pretty.

Well...I did a little internet research...but there are a lot of black bees...could they be the giant carpenter bees? They are really cool either way!
